The national flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The national flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan (UZB. O’zbekiston Respublikasining davlat bayrog’i / Uzbekiston Respublikasining dawlat biroi) – along with the state coat of arms and anthem is the official state symbol and symbol of the sovereignty of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Approved on 18 November 1991, two months after the country’s independence.

The national flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a rectangular cloth of three horizontal stripes of saturated blue, white and rich green colors in the full length of the flag.

The length of the flag is 250 cm, width  to 125 see Blue, white and green stripes of equal width. The width of each band is equal to 40 cm At the edges of the white strip, located in the middle of the flag, are the red edges with a width of 2.5 cm.

On the upper blue part of the flag on the front and back sides, near the Flagstaff there is a white Crescent and next to it 12 white five-pointed stars.

The Crescent and stars fit into a rectangle 75 x 30 cm in size, which is located along the horizontal axis of the upper blue band.

The Crescent is positioned vertically at the ends of the Flagstaff and fits into a circle 30 cm in diameter at a distance of 20 cm from the Flagstaff. The lower row of stars is located at a distance of 3.5 cm from the lower edge of the Crescent.
